About COVITS 2008

COVITS (the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Innovative Technology Symposium) annually brings together a community of senior-level executives and technology decision makers from state and local government, business, and education to identify, discuss and propose solutions to Virginia’s critical technology issues. The conference, in its tenth year, is hosted by Virginia’s Secretary of Technology, Aneesh P. Chopra, on behalf of Governor Tim Kaine. COVITS 2008 will be held in Williamsburg, Virginia, September 7th - 9th (Ending September 9th at Noon).

COVITS is a forum to discuss technology requirements, share valuable lessons from actual case studies, and glimpse the future of government interaction with its customers. As the Commonwealth of Virginia continues to be nationally recognized for its sweeping transformation of information technology use in government, COVITS 2008 will gather thought leaders who share the goal of proceeding in partnership.

Secretary Chopra is shaping the COVITS 2008 program to focus on the next waves of innovation. At the same time, COVITS will continue to showcase Virginia’s leadership role in applying public-private partnerships to the challenges of maintaining and advancing its technology infrastructure.

COVITS 2008 will continue the tradition of providing outstanding speakers and offering invaluable networking opportunities for sponsors and attendees.
