The 2011 Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS) will start with the view from the top when Governor Bob McDonnell provides opening remarks for the event. The Governor’s remarks will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 26. COVITS annually brings together a community of senior-level executives and technology decision makers from state and local government, business, and education to share experiences, discuss collaborative opportunities and envision technology solutions to support government’s business challenges.

Submission period now closed for 2011 Governor’s Technology Awards
The deadline for entries now has passed and submissions received are en route to the judges. All entrants will receive free admission to COVITS in recognition of their innovative work. Winners will be publicly announced and honored at a special midday ceremony during COVITS. Further communication to entrants will follow individually.
